Disconnect the leads from the battery.
Remove all front grilles (51 13 070).
Remove the main coolant radiator (17 11 000).
When installing: On the BMW 2500, 2800 and 2800 CS
a tropical radiator must be installed if air conditioning
equipment is required.
Remove right headlights with support frame.

Remove fresh air outlet grill cover (64 11 290).
Place the evaporator base plate in the installed position on
the transmission tunnel, and drill a 10 mm (0.4 in.) hole
for condensate drainage into the tunnel.

Unscrew bolts in vibration damper.
Important: On the front side of the vibration damper
there must be a recess of 2 mm (0.07874"), so as to provide
sufficient distance from the V-belt pulley. Fasten V-belt pulley
and vibration damper by means of M 8 x 45 bolts. Assembly
is only possible in one position.
