Disconnect negative lead from battery.
Detach instrument panel hood.

Disconncet negative lead from battery.
Detach loudspeaker grille.

Unscrew Philips head screw.

Remove the steering wheel (32 33 000).
Remove the heater control cover panel (64 11 300).
(Do not separate the cover panel and the switch plate.)
Remove screws (1) and (2).

Remove screws (3, 4 and 5).

Unscrew the speedometer drive shaft at the speedometer.
Gently press the instrument carrier hood upwards.
Pull out the instrument carrier.

Press together the safety catches.
Pull out the multi-pin plugs.
