Remove the battery.
Take off the air cleaner housing (13 71 000).
Detach the sealing and sound deadening material from the heater bulkhead.
Detach the coolant reservoir from both its mountings. Detach the bracket holding the brake unit and, if installed,
the power steering oil tank from the wheel box.
Remove both front side grills.
Remove lower center left instrument panel trim (51 45 190).
Detach fuse box and remove plug board from engine bulkhead.
Detach cable harness at all connections and remove from vehicle.
When installing: Check function of electrical system.
Remove the battery.
Take off the air cleaner body (13 71 000).
Detach the coolant reservoir from both its mountings. Detach the bracket holding the brake unit and the power steering
oil tank from the bulkhead. Remove both headlight casing covers and both horns.
Remove both front side grills and both front turn indicators. Detach the steering wheel (32 33 000).
Remove the lower left center instrument panel trim (51 45 190).
Remove the glove box complete with hinge strap and detach the fuse box.
Separate the speedometer drive shaft from the speedometer. Detach the combined instrument and the speedometer from
the instrument panel.
Detach the cable harness at all connection points and remove from the vehicle.
When installing: Check functions
of electrical system.
