Removal and fitting of front door lining cf. 51 41 000. Removal and fitting of upper strip cf. 51 41 300. Disconnect minus cable from battery. Carefully remove Acella foil. Note when fitting: Check Acella foil and replace if necessary. 51 41 000 51 41 300

Unscrew bolts 1 ÷ 3. Remove lifter arm from lifter rail and take off crank mechanism.

Lead cable into door and lay along the cable the cable clamps provided.

Note when fitting: Secure cable in clamp (1) very tightly and with special care, so that cable position does not change when door is opened and closed.

Connect electric lifter arm to lifter rail. Note when fitting: Lifter rail must run between both plastic shims (1).

Screw electric window lift onto door (bolts 1 ÷ 4). Note when fitting: Coat gear segment of electric window lift with branded multiple-purpose grease.

Connect earth cable (1) from electric window lift and earth cable (2) from cable loom to base plate (in so doing fastening both cables by one bolt, as show in photo).

Connect cables 2 ÷ 3 from window lift motor and cables 4 ÷ 5 from cable loom to cable connetor, in so doing connecting colours to match. Fasten cable connector to earth plate.

Unscrew nuts 1 ÷ 2 and remove lever for engine compartment lid lock.

Unscrew bolts 1 ÷ 2 and remove cover for door column. Pull off part of Acella foil.

Pull plug out of door column, fit in rubber sleeve (1), and pass cable loom through.

Connect cables 1 ÷ 2 to plug board, with colours to match. Fasten earth cable (3) by means of sheet-metall bolt.

Open zip. Shift to 1st gear. Press both rocker switches for electric window lifts upwards ar rear.

Unscrew bolts.

Pull up console and lift up bottom panel of stowage space.

Remove blind cover (1). Remove insulation from cable loom (2) coming from left.

Pass through cables and connect to rocker switches. Note when fitting: green cable terminal 33 black cable terminal32 green/blue cable terminal 30

Connect minus cable to battery. Move door window up and set stop (1) correctly. Note when fitting: The door window must be fitted in such a way that the window lift motor switches off exactly when the window reaches the upper stop in the guide rubber of the quarter-light. At that point the ornamental strip on the door window and the upper edge of the quarter light must form one line.

Move door window down and set stop (2) correctly. Note when fitting: When the stop fitted on the guide plate reaches the bottom of the door (like the crank mechanism), the engine must switch off. The distance between the ornamental strip (upper edge of door ) and the top of the window pane should be approx. 30 mm (1.1811"), (Adjust left and right doors to same height, if necessary correct position of stop on guide plate and motor).

Cut out rubber foam on rear of door lining and cut out circle (1) as pressed.

Carefully cut hole out of door lining and fit on cover disc (with colour to match). Note: If the electric window lift should break down, the windows can be opened and closed by hand, using the plastic rack provided in the toolkit. To open or close, remove cap in lining on side.The pinion on the window lift gearing can be turned in the direction desired by means of the rack. Pull rack towards interior of car to open window. Push rack in opposite direction to close.
