Pull off wiper arms (61 61 081). Carefully separate rubber surround from body, using a lip-type puller.
Press out windshield with the feet, beginning in a top corner. Remove old sealing compound.
When installing: Replace rubber surround if porous. Warning: To prevent scratching the glass, use a soft support for the windshield. Pull on the rubber surround. Beginning at one corner, press the trim strip into the rubber surround.
Insert a cord or wire of approx. 3 mm (0.12 in.) diameter into the rubber surround. Overlap the ends by 30 cm (12 in.).
Lip (A) should contain the cord or wire. Lip (B) should be evenly packed all round with Teroson 2322.
Place the windshield in this state of assembly against the window cutout and prevent from slipping sideways. Pull out the cord and force the rubber surround over the edge of the cutout in the body.
As this installation process continues, force the windshield into its correct installed position by evenly distributed blows with a soft pad or the flat of the hand.
