Remove front compartment lid (41 61 000).
Remove front left grill (51 13 040).
Remove front left section of bumper (51 11 070).
Remove reflector housing for front left turn indicator (63 13 030).
Detach front door sill trim (51 13 410).
Remove headlight unit with support frame.
Unscrew side panel at the top.
When installing: Insert Terostat strip (T) between joint faces.

Unscrew the side panel at the front.
When installing: Place Terostat strip beneath joint face.

Note position of brazed joint between front panel and side panel.

Unscrew the side panel at the rear.
When installing: Place Terostat strip beneath joint face.

Separate the side panel and the wheel arch at the brazed joint.
Take off the side panel.
