Lift the side of the car and prop with a suitable stand.
Remove all old balance weights, stones in tread and caked
dirt from wheel.
Check lateral and vertical runout of front wheel (36 10 209).

Attach the static and dynamic balancing sensor to the
lower wishbone.

Attach a length of white adhesive tape as shown at a convenient
point on the tire.
Balance the wheel in accordance with the instructions
supplied by the maker of the balancing equipment.
Balancing weights of up to 40 g (1.4 ozs.) can be attached
on one side of the wheel only, but weights amounting to
more than 40 g must be divided equally between either
side of the rim.

Attach the dynamic balancing sensor to the brake fixed
caliper.

Dynamically balance the wheel in accordance with the
operating instructions supplied by the maker of the balancing
equipment.
