Only on cars with automatic transmission: Remove starter safety relay (with supporting plate) from accelerator pedal bearing block. |  |
Loosen lock bolt on accelerator bar. Pull bar of accelerator lever arm. Note when assembling: Note assembly position of spacer sleeve and shims, as well as adjustment of bar, cf. 35 41 090.  35 41 090

Take safety catch off accelerator lever arm. |  |
Pull off safety catch for accelerator pedal. Pull accelerator pedal off accelerator lever arm. Note when assembling: Note assembly position of shims. Apply Longterm 2 grease on accelerator pedal bush. |  |
Cut into insulating cap on the right hand side next to the accelerator lever arm bush and remove carefully. Press accelerator lever arm over to the right as far as possible, so that the accelerator lever arm can be removed from the hinged bush on the left hand side. Take out accelerator lever arm. |  |
