Remove brake drum (34 21 000).
Detach the brake shoes at the bottom.
Detach the return spring at the bottom.
When installing: Note installed position of return spring.

Pull brake shoe ends out of wheel brake cylinder and
detach thrust rod and handbrake cable.

When installing: The longer hooked end of the spring
should be attached between the handbrake arm and the
brake shoe.
