Hold one piston in place with the piston return pliers. Place a hardwood or felt pad between the calliper jaws. Press out the piston by applying a compressed air supply to the brake line connecting hole. Warning: Observe great care! A compressed air supply at 10 atü (140 psi) will develop a force of approx. 250 kp (550 Ibs.). | ![]() |
Carefully remove the sealing rings with a plastic rod. When installing: Clean all parts with alcohol and coat with ATE brake cylinder paste before installing. Warning: Do not tilt the piston when inserting. | ![]() |
Use new sealing rings. Clean the sealing faces between the two halves of the calliper with alcohol. | ![]() |
Do not separate the two halves of the calliper unless a leak is detected. Remove the expansion bolts. When installing: Do not re-use the expansion bolts. Tightening sequence 1 ÷ 4. | ![]() |
