Checking high pressure and leakage:
Remove front wheel (36 10 300).
Test both brake circuits.
Remove bleed screw for 1. brake circuit (A) and connect
pressure tester.
Bleed screw for 2. brake circuit: (B).

Using the foot brake, generate a pressure of approx.
100 atü (1425 psi) in the brake system, and lock the brake
pedal down with the pedal prop.
Pressure must not fall by more than 10% in 1 minute.
Repeat the test on the 2. brake circuit (B).

Low pressure check:
Carry out on both brake circuits.
Release the pedal prop until the test pressure in the brake
system is only 2 ÷ 5 atü (28 ÷ 70 psi).
Do not jolt or disturb the vehicle.
Any movement of the vehicle will falsify the result.
The test must be continued for 5 minutes, during which time
pressure must remain constant.
If pressure falls noticeably, check all rubber components.

Initial pressure check¹):
Remove rear wheel (36 10 320).
Connect pressure tester to drum brake system.
Depress the brake pedal fully a number of times and
release.
Pressure should drop to 0.5 ÷ 1.2 atü (7.1 ÷ 17.1 psi).
The test should last 5 minutes, during which time the initial
pressure should not fall below 0.5 atü (7.1 psi).
¹) Drum brakes only.
