Move the front wheels to the straight ahead position.
Press the track rod away from the steering drop arm with 7009 extractor.

Take off the steering wheel center (32 33 030).
Determine the straight ahead position by measuring the total number of turns
at the steering wheel and dividing by 2.
Turn the steering wheel approx. 1 turn to the left.
Install the friction meter and turn the steering wheel to the right across the
pressure point. Read off the friction value²)

Before adjusting, the steering wheel must again be turned approx. 1
turn to the left of the straight ahead position.
Loosen the locknut.
Turn the adjusting screw until the prescribed friction value is obtained as the
steering passes the pressure point.
