Examine condition of ball and needle roller bearings and replace if
necessary.
With a suitable Kukko extractor, remove the ball race from the housing.
When installing: Press in the ball race with a drift of precisely the
correct size.

Remove both needle roller bearings from the steering box housing
with a suitable Kukko extractor.
When installing: Press in the needle roller bearings with a drift
of precisely the correct size.
A 1 mm (0.039in.)
B 56 mm (2.205 in.)

Loosen the locknut.
Unscrew and remove the adjusting screw from the steering box cover.

Adjust play¹) of steering roller shaft with locating washer (1).

Install the steering worm.
Secure device 7015 into position.
Tighten the housing cover screw while rotating the steering worm continuously.
Determine the friction value¹).

Friction value too high - increase thickness of shims.
Friction value too low - reduce thickness of shims.
Refill steering box with oil¹).

Adjust the steering roller shaft to the prescribed friction value¹) with
the adjusting screw (1) while turning through the straight ahead position.
