Removal and fitting of locking cap for wheel hub cf.

Taking off wheel cf. 36 10 340.
Remove key from castellated nut.
Tighten castellated nut to 1.0 mkp (7.23 ft./Ib.) while
constantly turning the wheel hub.
This aligns the tapered rollers and the inner rings of the
bearings, and presses out any grease that might cause play.

Loosen castellated nut by about ¼ turn.
It must now be possible to push the catch ring to the left
and the right.

Fasten meter support on wheel hub.
Set meter to 1 mm (0.0394") prestress.
Push wheel hub to and for several times and read play of
wheel bearing while doing so.
Attempt to set wheel bearing play¹) at minimum value.
