Remove cross member from front axle support. Note when assembling: Tighten lock nut with car under normal load¹). The spacer (1) rests on the front axle support. ¹) See specifications.

Remove steering box from front axle support and tie on to brake servo with a string, etc. Take off steering guide arm. Note when assembling: Check fluidbloc and replace if necessary. Gap A = 42 + 0.5 mm (1.635 + 0.0197") |  |
Loosen engine support on left and right side. Fasten engine to crane by means of hoist beam No. 7000. Remove front axle support from chassis member. Replace rubber bushes in front axle support cf. 31 12 531. 31 12 531

The cover plate on the axle is now corrugated so that when the car is jacked up at the front the oil sump cannot be damaged by the car jack plate. (Increased safety clearance from oil sump.)
