Remove control - see 24 30 000.
Detach selector and connecting rods.
Drive out the lockpin when the selector lever is in neutral.

Support transmission.
Detach cross member at body.
Detach rear end of exhaust system.
Lower the transmission to the front axle carrier.
Tie up the rear exhaust system in this position.
The transmission selector lever (1) is swung back and down,
and pulled out of the case.

Note when fitting: Place washer (2) in front of pawl.
Install accelerator cam and spring - see 24 34 701.
