Remove and install transmission - see 24 00 020.
Use the grips 6028-1 to carefully pull the torque converter
out of the primary pump.
Caution! Escaping transmission fluid.

Note when fitting: Check the torque converter for leaks
with fixture 7055 and 0.5 atm (7 psi) air pressure.
Caution! Danger of injuries if holder 6062-1 is not used.

The torque converter must be replaced if the bearing sur-
face of the converter shaft is damaged or the drive tongues
are broken.

The torque converter must be replaced if either the stator
(L) or turbine (T) cannot be turned by hand - see 24 40 001.

Guide both claws on the torque converter into the slots of
the primary pump by turning slightly.
The torque converter is installed correctly when the guide
pin is located below the edge of the housing.
