Press the annulus gear against the circlip (1) so firmly
through the openings, that the circlip (1) cannot spring
back when pressed in.

Pull intermediate shaft and annulus gear out of the drive
pinion.
Remove the grooved ball bearing, replacing if necessary,
and align it - see 24 21 511.
