Remove exhaust system - see 18 00 020.
Detach the propeller shaft at the driven flange and the
centre bearing holder.
Note when fitting: Pre-load the centre bearing holder by
2 mm (0.079") in the driving direction.
Pull off stop pad (1).
Lift out lockplate (2).
Note when fitting: Secure the lockplate in the driven
flange groove.

Counterhold the driven flange with holder 604.
Insert centering sleeve 607.
Loosen the collared nut with socket wrench SW-30/83.

Pull off the driven flange.
Note when fitting: Replace a worn driven flange.
Remove the radial oil seal with extractor 7051.

Note when fitting: Install a radial oil seal with driver 7043.
Fill the cavity between the sealing lips with a branded all-
purpose grease.
