Drain oil
Remove exhaust system - see 18 00 020.
Detach propeller shaft and speedometer cable.
Support transmission and detach the cross member.
Pull off stop pad (1).
Lift out lockplate.
Note when fitting: Secure the lockplate in the driven

flange groove.

Counterhold the driven flange with holder 604.
Insert centering sleeve 607.
Loosen the collared nut with socket wrench SW-30/83.

Pull of the driven flange.
Note when fitting: Check radial oil seal and bearing sur-
face of driven flange.
Apply Loctite to a loose bearing inner race.

Take off transmission cover (11 mm / 0.433" socket).
Note when fitting: Replace the gasket.
