Remove transmission - see 24 00 020.
Caution! Before installation of an exchange transmission
always clean the oil cooler and lines with compressed air
and then flush twice with clear gasoline, petroleum or ATF.
Remove the transport holder (1).

Install transmission switch (2) and selector lever (3) from
old transmission.
Remove nut (4) and screw (5).
Pull cable off of holder.
Disconnect the selector lever with transmission switch.
Note when fitting: Move transmission switch to position 0
(noticeable catch).
Turn the manual selector valve shaft clockwise up to the
stop and then counterclockwise 2 catches (position 0).
Install and secure the transmission switch in this position.
After the transmission is installed move the shift lever
through all gears. In so doing the matching selector posi-
tion must appear on the illuminated indicator.

Install holder (6) from old transmission.

Remove oil line connection plugs.
Install oil lines (7) and holder (8) from old transmission.

Take cross member (9) with transmission mount (10) from
old unit and install loosely.
Tighten the transmission mount (10) without tension after
the unit is positioned correctly.
