Check and correct the oil level with the selector lever at P
and the engine running at idle speed.

Mount tester 6042 on the door window.

Remove the plug with tool 24 0 065!
Screw connection nipple 24 0 046 in the transmission and
use hose H to connect it to the tester 24 0 000 (was 6042).
Caution! Use connection nipple 24 0 063 up to Transm.
No. 18 044 and connection nipple 24 0 064 from Transm.
No. 18 045.
Non-conformance will result in damaged transmission case
threads.
Check the main pressure with the parking brakes applied,
the engine running at idle speed and the selector lever
at 0 (zero). The accelerator cable setting is correct if the
main pressure is 3.5 to 4.6 bar (50 to 65 psi). If a correction
is necessary, detach the accelerator cable at the operating
lever. Compress the seal on the accelerator cable with a
pliers until the seal can be slid back and forth. Adjust the
accelerator cable at the swivel head so long until the
specified pressure of 3.5 to 4.6 bar (50 to 65 psi) is reached
after the cable is attached again. Tighten the seal again
0.25 + 0.25 mm (0.010 + 0.010") before the end of the cable
sleeve in this position.
Check the stall speed ¹ with the selector lever in R or 1.
