Oil all sliding parts with gearbox oil when assembling.
Check catch of reverse gear for easy operation.

compensated to zero between casing and bearing support.
Measure depth of casing A, e. g. 13.1 mm (0.5158").

Insert grooved ball bearing into bearing support together
with shim.

Press bearing with support, supporting disy as speedo-
meter drive worm onto output drive shaft.

Screw two guide bolts into support.
The recess in the supporting ring is at the bottom.
Heat top of casing to approx. 80° C (176° F).
Insert output drive layshaft and reverse gear into cas-
ing top.

Fasten support.
Unscrew guide bolts.

Insert gearshift shaft.
Important: Note rollers.
Fit on shift forks; the higher shift fork is for 3rd gear and
4th gear.
Put stop ball in position.
Fit in shift rod for reverse.

Insert gearshift shaft for 1st gear and 2nd gear.

Important: The shift lever must not be fitted in with a slant.

Fit on casing.
Build in reversing light switch and fastener for gearshift
shaft.
Heat inner ring of grooved ball bearing to approx. 80° C
(176° F) and fit onto layshaft.
Heat inner ring of grooved ball bearing to approx. 80° C
(176° F) and force onto drive shaft by means of tool No. 611
(tight fit).

Fit on supporting ring.
Fit on circlip.
Compensate grooved ball bearing form drive shaft and
layshaft to guide flange to zero position.
Gap A between grooved ball bearing and drive shaft e. g.
7.0 mm (0.2756").
Gap B between grooved ball bearing and countershaft
e. g. 4.6 mm (0.1811").
