A) Cold start relay
Detach cold start valve at header.
Disconnect plugs at cold start relay.
Connect cold start relay terminal 51 to 30 (+).
Turn on ignition.
The cold start valve must eject fuel.
Caution! For versions with an air flow sensor also
disconnect the extra plug at the air flow sensor.
Connect terminals 36 and 39 with each other.

B) Temperature time switch
Pull plugs off of cold start relay.
Connect ohmmeter between relay terminal 45 and ground.
Reference value: 40 to 70 ohm.
Connect ohmmeter between terminal 46 (connection W on temperature
time switch) and ground.
Connect terminal 45 with 30 (+) (connection G on temperature time switch).
The reading is above + 15º C (59º F).
The reading must be 0 for a certain time at temperatures below
+ 15º C (59º F).

Disconnect wire plugs.
Unscrew temperature time switch.
Note when fitting: Add coolant, bleed cooling system if necessary.

Cold start relay
Detach cold start relay.
Disconnect plugs.
Connect termional 85 to ground.
Connect terminals 30 and 86 c to battery plus.
The cold start relay is good, if the test lamp is one when held
against terminal 86 or 87 and ground.
