Remove control unit - see 13 61 000.
Connect harness plug with plug from tester EFAW 228.
Do not connect the control unit.
The ignition must be turned on for the entire test.
If a defect is detected, this defect must be eliminated before continuing with the test.

Note: Switch on ignition.
Connect loom to plug of tester and control unit.

B) Version with air flow sensor
Coution! The test must always be made in the sequence
1 through 10 . No single test step chosen at random may ever be
carried out before having completed the previous tests. Non-conformance
with this could cause wrong functionig and/or follow damage The entire
test is performed with the engine stopped or a starter-oprerated engine.
Connect the tester, Bosch No. 068 410 0 202, to the harness and control
unit. Set selector switch (1) at cylinder 6. Turn on ignition The red tell-tale
lamp (2) must be on for the entire function test. There is a defect in the power
supply if the lamp goes out. The green tell-tale lamp (3) is there to check the
injection pulses. Lamp (3) will flicker while operating the starter. Lamp (3) burns
continuously as long as the contact breaker points are closed and the starter
is not operated.
