Remove air cleaner housing - see 13 71 000.
Disconnect all fuel, coolant and vacuum hoses.
Disconnect all electric wires.
Detach pressure rod.

Note when fitting:
1 To distributor - advanced control
2 To distributor - retard control
3 To fuel return valve
4 To air cleaner housing

Loosen nuts on staybolts.
Pull off carburettor.
Note when fitting: Replace flange seal; graphite side faces
intake line.
Flange seals having various size bores:
Smaller diameter faces cylinder head.
The flange seal with same size bores and an interrupted
center land is used as a replacement for the version with
variouz size bores.
