Check releasing points with tester EFAW 228 at an engine
speed of 2000 rpm.
Set switch A at distributor contact I and read volt scale.
Turn switch A to distributor contact II.
If the readings differ by more than 3 graduations, the contact feed
must be replaced.

The releasing points require no maintenance.
Always replace the contact feed every 60,000 km or 35,000 miles.
Pull off multiple plug.
Remove contact feed.
Note when fitting: Do not apply grease to divertion parts.
Coution! The distributor shaft oil seal is shot if the releasing
points have considerable oil. In this case the entire distributor must be
replaced.
