Loosen the threaded union (1).
Take out the coil spring (2) and piston (3).
Warning: The relaxed spring length¹) must not be altered.
Take ff the oil pump cover (4).

Check clearance¹) between the outer rotor and the pump body.
If the maximum permitted clearance has been exceeded,
replace the pump body.

Check the gap¹) between the inner and outer rotors. I the
maximum permitted gap has been exceeded, replace outer and
inner rotors.

Check clearance¹) between the rotor sealing face and the
pump housing.
If the maximum permitted clearance has been exceeded, replace
the pump housing.

Pull off the outward flange with an extractor, do not force
or lever off.

When installing: The distance from the flange o the inner
rotor A = 44,3 ± 0,1 mm (1.744 ± 0.004 in.).

Warning: Vent drilling must be carefully cleaned.
Oil pumps without vent drilling cannot be subsequently
provided with such a drilling.

Ventilation of pressure chamber (D) at commencement of
feed is effected via drilling (E) being controlled by the pressure
relief piston.
Hereby the lighting-up period of the oil pressure telltale is
considerably shortened.
