Note when fitting: Adjust chain tension by means of spacer plates (1) and (2) in such a way that the chain can be pressed inward with slight pressure of the thumb. Note: When using spacer plate (1) with one hole for oil flow, note correct position. Spacer plate (2) must be exactly as thick as spacer plate (1). | ![]() |

If when braking hard or driving round long bends the oil pressure telltake tends to flash on, it is advisable to fit the modified oil pump spare part No. 11 41 1 256 305 and the modified oil sump spare No. 11 13 256 121; cf. also removal and fitting of oil sump 11 13 000. Remove old oil pump. Fit on support member (1), note tightening torque¹). Screw on support plate (2) lightly. ¹ See specifications. 11 13 000

If, when fitting a new oil pump with spare part No. 11 41 1 256 305 (A) the old oil sump is to be used again, the old oil pump cap (1) and the locking cap (2) of the excess pressure piston must be fitted onto the new oil pump (A) In such a case the old oil sump must also be modified; cf. removal and fitting of oil sump 11 13 000. 11 13 000
