Remove cylinder head - see 11 12 100.
Take up cylinder head in fixture 7003-1.
Remove fuel pump and pull out push rod (1).
Detach oil line.
Note when refitting: Note correct location of oil seals
(2 and 3).

Caution! The oil must be installed so that the oil
spray from the bores is aimed between the rockers or cam-ways
of an intakt and exhaust valve.
A = 180 ± 0.5 mm (7.087 ± 0.020) forward as seen in driving direction.

Adjust tappet clearance of all cylinders to maximum settings.
Non- observance wil cause damage to the valves.
Attach special tool 7003-1.

Remove screws (4 and 5).
Pull out camshaft.

If the camshafts and/or rocker shafts show wear, check the
oil feed bores to the front and rear camshaft bearings.
Bore dia = 7 mm (0.276"), if applicable ream to 7 mm (0.276").

Note when fitting: The camshaft must be easy to turn
after installation of the guide plate.
Set cylinder 6 at overlapping before releasing pressure from
special tool 7003-1.
The threaded bore in the flange must align with the cast tab.
Note when fitting: Adjust tappet clearance-see 11 34 004.
