Connecting rods with re-machined small end bushes are
available as spare parts.
Press out the old small end bush.
When installing: Press in the new bush with the gap at
90° to the oil drillway.

Open out, clean and beburr the oil drillways.
Ream out the small end bush¹.
The gudgeon pin must pass through the small end bush if
light pressure is exerted.

Check connecting rods for deviation from parallel (A)
and maximum permitted distortion (B) and align if necessary.
