Take off lower front panel apron 51 47 490.
Remove radiator 17 11 000.
Remove end cover.
Lock flywheel into position with tool 6060.
On automatic transmission, use 6069-1.

Loosen the alternator.
Unscrew nut¹.

Pull off vibration damper with hub.
FWarning: Note correct installed position of key (1).
Check condition of sealing ring and renew if necessary.
When installing: If the hub is severely scored, install
the sealing ring so that the sealing lip runs in front of or behind the
scored area.
